This is Gaylia. The Surprise Eagles will be participating in the Toys for Tots drive. There is a box inside the Aerie by the front door for any unwrapped toys you may want to drop off.
If you want to make a money donation, the Toys R Us store will match any money donations we collect. So, if you donate $10.00, Toys R Us will turn it into $20.00 - what a great deal! If you do want to make a money donation, please give it to the on-duty bartender, or to a trustee, and let them know it's for the Toys for Tots event.
If you will be writing a check, please make it payable to "Surprise Eagles #4534" - as we will write one check for the event.
Also, we will be selling paper Toys for Tots trains. These are small paper trains that can be purchased for a minimum of $1.00, and you write your name on them, and we'll hang them up in the Aerie. The bartenders will be the contact for selling these trains, so just let them know that you want to buy some.
There is a short turnaround for this event - all unwrapped toys and money donations must be to the club no later than Friday, December 8.
